Drop-on glass beads are a critical component in modern road marking systems, designed to significantly enhance the visibility of road markings at night. These beads are applied onto freshly painted road lines while the paint is still wet, embedding into the surface as it cures.
Their main function is to reflect light from vehicle headlights, enabling drivers to clearly see road markings under low-light or nighttime conditions.

Integration with Reflective Systems
Drop-on glass beads are used in conjunction with various LineSTIL® road marking paints to create reflective surfaces that improve both day and night visibility. Once the paint is applied, the beads are immediately broadcast onto the surface, allowing them to adhere securely as the paint dries.
Within the STIL GROUP product range, these are categorized under the “DROP-ON” label, often associated with the “SKY” series and Reflectra® technology—highlighting their role in ensuring high-performance reflectivity.
Reflectra®
Sky
Reflectra® Sky is a drop-on glass bead product manufactured by TEKNO CAM LTD. ŞTİ., designed to enhance road visibility and ensure driver safety. These glass beads are applied immediately after road marking paint application and embed into the paint as it dries.
Light from vehicle headlights reflects off the Reflectra® Sky glass beads, allowing drivers to see the road more clearly at night and in low-light conditions.
